We are so excited about the new arrivals in the Design Center at Dunn! We have recently revamped some of our offerings in Decorative Hardware in an effort to reflect the new collections and finishes on offer from many of our manufacturers. We have new display boards from Richelieu and Amerock, and new ones on the way from Schaub. We have also added items from Sietto, a Chicago-based hardware maker whose founder Andrew Kates is a Cleveland native. His fused glass and metal pulls and knobs make quite an architectural statement.
And as the headline reads, we have also added a new-to-us line of hardware that we are very excited to show. DuVerre is a Canadian company with a highly designer-driven aesthetic. The pieces are made from recycled aluminum — a very eco-friendly way to manufacture cabinet hardware that uses only 5% of the energy typically consumed in the production of new metals — and they are gorgeous! Pricing is a little higher than your typical knobs and pulls, but for that special project they are well worth the cost. And because they are now part of the Top Knobs family of companies, you get a pretty comprehensive limited lifetime warranty to go with your purchase.
Our featured line from DuVerre is their Forged 3 line of hardware. It would be at home in a wide variety of design schemes, and is one of DuVerre’s top selling collections. Another perennially popular set is Pomegranate, with a show-stopping 4 3/8″ round pull that would be perfect on a piece furniture, and longer pulls that almost seem like snakeskin. Take a look at their website, or even better, come in and look at the pieces in person at Dunn.
As previously mentioned, the hardware manufacturers are all coming out with new materials and finishes. There is Sietto’s glass, Richelieu’s concrete and color, and everyone — simply everyone! — has at least one brushed gold or brushed brass finish. Each company has spent long hours choosing the specific hue and brush pattern they want to present, and they are all just a little different. Please come by to see which ones best complement your decor, or plumbing fixtures. And don’t forget the flat black/matte black! Like the brushed brass finishes, it is becoming more popular by the day.
